CBT offers opportunities for high school and college students to give back to their community and earn valuable work experience. Volunteering for CBT can also count as service learning hours for your school. Prior tutoring experience isn’t necessary to get involved, but a desire to work with younger children is a must. All tutors are required to attend a brief orientation prior to their first tutoring session and commit to tutoring for a minimum of one academic semester.

Tutors work in small groups and one-on-one with young learners, ages four through twelve, once or twice a week at one of CBT’s sites. Tutoring sessions are formatted so that students spend time both on homework and activities from CBT’s curriculum which focuses on positive character development.

CBT has three different tutoring locations for the 2015-2016 school year.
