Programs

Community Building Tutors programming has evolved over the decade of its existence. However, one constant building block has and will always be our ability to bring dedicated and energetic young adults into a safe and nurturing environment to work with grade school aged children. Over the years we have had the opportunity to offer our programs in numerous Chicago Park District locations throughout the city as well as a handful of not-for-profits and community spaces. Our programs typically run 12 weeks and are a combination of homework-help and our own unique character development curriculum. We also invite a variety of professional guest speakers from the community to share with the students what they do and how they make an impact on their community. One of our key programming goals is to help the children learn more about their community, and how even as young learners they can make a difference.
